Evaluating the capability of the measurement system itself is an important first step of every quality improvement project.
Typically, to perform a Gage R&R study for continuous measurements, the same ten parts should be measured twice by each of three operators.
In practice, however, it is sometimes not possible to measure the same part multiple times because the measurement itself destroys the part.
Using case studies based on recent experiences, we will explore potential ways of setting up and analysing a Gage R&R study for destructive tests.
